Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan announced setting up of international cruise terminal in Mumbai to facilitate the rising number of tourists using luxury cruise services to countries like Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

He was speaking at a convention organised by the Indian Association of Tour Operators on Thursday.

Chavan said there had been long pending demand from the tour operators for the cruise terminal as the international tourist face difficulties.

“We have been witnessing large number of international cruise tourists arriving in the city. The international cruise terminal would help facilitate tourism,” he added, assuring the tour operators of all the help to boost tourism in the state.
