Mumbai, Thane schools top rank chart

Schools were ranked on the parameters of safety and hygiene, teacher welfare, value for education, co-curricular activities, parental involvement, etc.

For yet another year, several schools in Mumbai and Thane managed to top the chart in an annual survey conducted by the EducationWorld India School rankings of 2019-20. Schools were ranked on the parameters of safety and hygiene, teacher welfare, value for education, co-curricular activities, parental involvement, etc.

Among the other schools in the country two of city-based schools in the Boys and Girls school category managed to retain the top position are Campion School and The JB Petit High School, respectively. Meanwhile in the 'Budget Private Schools' and 'Special Needs Schools' category, St Mary's High School in? Kalyan and Aditya Birla Integrated School managed to score the top two and three position in the all India rank.

Paul Machado, principal of Campion School, said, "We do our best every year without expecting any reward or an aim to reach the top. As a school, we make sure all our stakeholders are happy and content."

JB Petit High school retained first position across the country. Benaifer Kutar, principal said, "There is a pervasive sense of freedom, creativity and intellectual challenge that is so exciting; and a sense of family that makes JB 'home' for staff and students," said Kutar.

The distinctive school with it's unique features and dynamic category is St Mary's High School in Kalyan bagged second position in the 'Budget Private School'. "This is our fourth year when we maintained our position in top three. Even though we have limited budget and provision, we aim and will continue to provide the best to our students," said Shobhana Jha, principal of the Kalyan school.

In international schools category, Dhirubhai Ambani International school bagged the first place, again. "This honour has come to us just two days after our school being placed in the league of the top 10 IB Schools globally," said Nita Ambani, founder of the school.
