Mumbai: Man molests 11-year-old on 10th floor of posh Thane building
The incident took place at Jay Surya Tower in Chandanwadi area of Thane. The girl was playing in the lobby when a man molested her. The minor girl's parents reported the incident to the Naupada police.
An 11-year-old girl from Thane was allegedly molested by an unidentified man on the 10th floor lobby of a posh complex.
The incident took place at Jay Surya Tower in Chandanwadi area of Thane. The girl was playing in the lobby when a man molested her. The minor girl's parents reported the incident to the Naupada police.
"The parents have complained that when the girl was playing, a person came out of the lift and molested her," said a Naupada police officer, adding that the girl was playing alone and it was bit dark in the lobby when the incident took place.
"We have registered a case under Section 354 (molestation) of the Indian Penal Code and also under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act," said ND Jadhav, Investigating officer, Naupada police station.
The identity of the culprit was yet to be established, added Jadhav.
