Though real estate industry is going through a bad phase and sales are low, a record deal struck recently will give some hope of its revival. In two record deals that took place recently, two members of a family shelled Rs 111 crore to buy two flats in a high-rise in Worli.
The first deal was struck by Abhay Soi, head of Radiant Life Care that manages Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. The buyer of the second flat is Taruna Soi.
The flats, each of 730.02 sq mt, are on the 36th and 37th floor in Three Sixty West apartments on Dr Annie Besant Road, which is under construction.
While Abhay had to shell out Rs 54 crore for his flat, Taruna's flat costs Rs 57.25 crore. The flats are on 5304 and 5204 which means a duplex.
Along with the flats, the Soi's also will own 10 car parks in the building. Registration accessed by DNA shows that the Sois paid close to Rs 6.50 crore as stamp duty for the registration of the flat.
The deal was registered on August 19. A detailed email sent to the representatives of Soi got us no response, a source close to the Soi's said that they do not wish to comment on their recent purchase. the Soi's currently have a house in Peddar Road. In this same building in the year 2018, in a record real estate deal, businessman Niraj Bajaj paid Rs 120 crore for a 1,587 sq mt apartment.
