Khetu, who got injured in the blast at Zaveri Bazaar, had multiple injuries on his face and other parts of the body. His tibia was also fractured. He was kept in the hospital’s critical care unit; orthopaedic doctors performed a corrective surgery on his tibia.

Commenting on this transfer to a private hospital, doctors from JJ said that some of the patients and their kin don’t like to stay back in a government hospital. After getting done with a major part of the treatment and once the patient is stable, they prefer to recuperate in a private hospital.

“I am better now. I want to move to the private hospital which is near my home,” said Khetu who worked as a dye-maker in Zaveri market.

“We have no complaints about the treatment done here, but we want to shift to the Vitthalwadi private hospital for further treatment. All our relatives stay there,” said Swapan Pramanik, Khetu’s relative.
