On account of the Mahaparinirvan Divas or death anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) will run Mumbai Darshan buses for the visitors to pay homage to the late Dalit leader on December 6. The Central Railway (CR) will operate extra trains for the same.

The buses will operate between Shivaji Park-Dadar-Five Gardens-Wadala-Byculla Zoo-Gateway of India-NCPA-Siddhivinayak-Worli-Shivaji Park. Apart from that, these will also go to other tourist spots. The tour will start from 8 am till 10 pm.

"These will be ordinary buses running every 30 minutes for Mumbai Darshan. We want people coming to Mumbai, to enjoy the various tourist spots. Each trip will be for three hours or so depending on the traffic. The cost will be Rs 150," said Ashish Chemburkar, chairman, BEST.

The CR will also give its share on December 5 and 6 by running 12 special suburban trains and 14 long distance trains.
