The course focuses on developing family business managers in Pakistan with SPJIMR’s expertise in the subject. It will also foresee business collaboration to improve relations between the two countries.

Honorary dean Dr ML Shrikant said, “Both countries share similar cultures as far as family businesses are concerned. For 15 years we have run a special management programme for family managed businesses. We believe this MoU opens up possibilities of sharing these learnings with such businesses in Pakistan and we will, in turn, learn from their practices. This academic exchange will contribute in building a relation of mutual trust and confidence between our two nations.”

According to information provided by an SPJIMR official, this MoU focuses on strengthening the quality of executive education programmes available to students and members of family businesses in Pakistan. It will be conducted in the form of workshops and its continuation after the first ten sessions will be decided later.

This series of workshops designed for family business owners is a modular workshop series that will run for 10 months. Depending on  participants’ convenience, the course will be conducted on a one session a month basis on a weekend.
