Mumbai: 35-year-old arrested for filming women in trial room

A 35-year-old male housekeeper was arrested by the Sahar Police on Thursday evening for secretly filming a private company's changing room.

The accused has been identified as Ganesh Nagade and the incident came to light when a female employee saw a mobile phone hidden behind clothes in a changing room. The phone camera was positioned strategically towards the mirror in the trial room.

According to the police, on Thursday afternoon, an employee of a private company at Marol Naka in Andheri east was changing clothes in the changing room, when she noticed there was a mobile phone kept in the clothing rack. Suspecting that one of the employees forgot theirs while changing, she took the phone with an intention to return it. Surprisingly, the phone was unlocked and the camera was on, which was continuously shooting her. She complained to the manager about the incident.

Since nobody in the office knew whose phone it was, they were trying to identify the phone's owner.

The victim and the company's manager approached the Sahar Police Station at around 3pm and registered a case. During investigation it was revealed, the phone belonged to a housekeeping staff, Ganesh Nadage, who was missing from the office premises. Sahar Police immediately initiated a search operation for and laid a trap for him near Link Road on the same evening.
