Not only undergrad admissions but also postgraduate engineering admissions are stuck in red tape. The state had decided to carry MTech admissions on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test conducted by IITs for the first time this year, but the notification to start the admission is yet to be issued. The state had discontinued its own admission test subsequently.
Hundreds of aspirants, who have got valid GATE score are having a tough time. "The GATE results were declared in April first week. Most of the states have already started admission but we have no idea about it," said a candidate.
The DTE officials admit the delay and blamed the Higher and Technical Education Ministry for the delay.
