RTI Activist Anil Galgali had sought information from the MCGM & the MU asking about the Completion Certificate (CC), Intimation of Disapproval (IOD) and OC of 61 buildings in the Kalina campus of the Mumbai University. The response revealed that of these 61 buildings, 36 building’s do not have OC, 24 buildings have obtained OC while 1 building has Part-OC.

In a letter addressed to Governor Vidyasagar Rao and CM Devendra Fadnavis and Education Minister Vinod Tawde, Anil Galgali has demanded that an enquiry should be held as the fault lies with the University and the architect of the project.

“Buildings without OC are frequented by thousands of students and officials daily. The varsity should ensure that the OC is in place to regularise these structures,” he added.

Dinesh Kamble, acting Registrar, MU, said that he has asked for a report on the status of all these buildings and would follow up with the authorities soon.
