The Mumbai crime branch that is probing IPS officer Sunil Paraskar rape case has found out that a claim made by the victim in the FIR, that Paraskar had taken away her old phone, was false and that the victim herself had sold the phone to someone. Officers said when they confronted the victim about this, she said she had forgotten that she had sold the phone and mistakenly mentioned in the FIR as having given it to Paraskar.
