Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has called for a special meeting after Diwali to sort out security concerns and development issues of Chakan MIDC area.

He was in Chakan on Monday afternoon for the ground-breaking ceremony for the new building of the Siddheshwar group of industries. The managing director of the group, Aaba alias Vikas Takawane, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator Nanda Takawane, NCP leader Azam Pansare, Pimpri-Chinchwad mayor Yogesh Behl, and Khed MLA Dilip Mohite-Patil were present on the occasion.

Pawar said, “The meeting will be held along with industrialists, local leaders, police officials and MIDC officials. The state government will, as early as possible, sort out all the issues of Chakan, Talegoan and neighboring industries.”

He added that efforts would be made to maintain a favorable atmosphere for industries. He also promised additional power.
