Officials from the University of Pune (UoP) said the matter had been resolved.
A typographical error that crept into the first question in section two of Mathematics paper I of the first-year engineering course led to confusion among students on Friday. However, officials from the University of Pune (UoP) said the matter had been resolved.
“We received calls from the colleges and the matter has been sorted out. It was a typographical error and the students, after reading the question, would have understood it,’’ said the officer.
Meanwhile, activist Narendra Sidhaye, who is campaigning against errors in question papers for the last 15 years said, “This has caused distress among students. The paper was of 100 marks and was held from 10 am to 1 pm. The question was to find the value of ‘n’. However, instead of the derivative operator, it was misprinted as the sign thita.’’
