According to the letter submitted by Patil, he has alleged facing mental and physical harassment by his corrupt seniors as well as junior colleagues in the unit
A police constable who is attached to the Local Arms (LA) Unit in Marol has resigned from the department alleging mental and physical harassment from his senior and junior colleagues.
The police constable, Pramod Patil, had joined the service on June 18, 2005, and was currently posted in the LA Unit in Marol. Patil has sent his resignation to Deputy Commissioner of Police (LA 4) on Saturday. According to the letter submitted by Patil, he has alleged facing mental and physical harassment by his corrupt seniors as well as junior colleagues in the unit. The letter alleges that the policemen in connivance with each other and with proper planning were harassing him in different ways constantly. "I am fed up due to their constant harassment, hence I am resigning from the post," he said in the letter to the deputy commissioner.
Patil has also mentioned names of four policemen and the name of an organisation of policemen in the resignation alleging that they are the ones who are troubling him the most. However, the policeman has not mentioned the reason behind the harassment.
