Four coaches of the 12618 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Express derailed while entering the Pen railway station (104 km from CST) on the Panvel-Roha section of Mumbai Division at 12.20pm on Friday.

The affected train left for Ernakulam at 1:45pm after 344 passengers were shifting into other coaches

Initial reports indicate that there are no injuries to any passengers. However, as a precautionary measure local doctors have been called to the site. A medical relief van and break down train have been sent to the site for relief operations.Senior railway officials including th general manager and divisional railway manager have also left for the site of derailment.

The coaches were S-2, S-1, General Second Class Coach and the Guard’s Brake Van.
