Man jerks off to woman in local, nabbed

The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested a 30-year-old labourer for allegedly masturbating in front of a female commuter in a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Belapur local train.

The incident took place between CSMT and Masjid Bunder railway stations.

According to the police, on Saturday, the woman had boarded a train for Belapur from CSMT and was seated in the ladies compartment. 

Around 10 am, as the train headed towards Masjid Bunder station, she noticed that a man who was in the adjacent compartment reserved for handicapped persons was masturbating while looking at her. He later alighted from the train.

She then contacted the police helpline following which GRP officials rushed to address the complaint.

A case of outraging the modesty of a woman was registered against an unknown person and crack teams were formed to trace the suspect.

The police came across CCTV footage in which the suspect was captured.

On receipt of specific information, a trap was laid outside CSMT and the suspect was identified as Krupa Patel.

He is a native of Odisha and lives on a footpath outside Masjid Bunder railway station, was nabbed on Monday.
