Man held for trespassing into Amitabh Bachchah's Jalsa, sent to judicial custody

The Juhu police on Sunday arrested a 23-year-old man for trespassing into Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow - Jalsa. The fan of the bollywood star managed to sneak inside by climbing over the outer wall of the bungalow compound.

The trespasser has been identified as Bullet Balwinder Yadav. According to the police, Yadav who calls himself a fan of the bollywood star has a welding business in Pune and he originally hails from a village in Bihar. Yadav had come to Mumbai few days back from Pune and claimed to have composed a Bhojpuri song for Bachchan which he wanted to sing in front of him. In an attempt to do the same, on Sunday, at around 8 am, Yadav citing a perfect opportunity to meet his idol, climbed over the wall of the other side of the bungalow which is adjacent to an ATM.

Being unaware about the premises inside, Yadav could not continue his pursuit as he was nabbed by one of the deployed security guards, who also alerted the police immediately. Upon arrest, Yadav told the police about his intent of singing the bhojpuri song composed by him to senior bachchan, said police.

"Post the arrest, Yadav was produced in a local court after which he was sent to judicial custody for seven days. Yadav has been booked for criminal trespassing under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We are investigating the matter and are also checking the background of the accused," said the SPI of Juhu police station, Sunil Ghosalkar.
