Dinesh Sangale (48), a Dadar resident died after a Gulmohar tree fell on him near the Mumbai Marathi Grantha Sangrahalaya, Dadar (East) on Thursday evening. According to eyewitness, Sangale was walking on the footpath when the tree came crashing down.

The tree was situated inside the library compound, when it suddenly fell on a four-wheeler and Sangale's head. The police rushed Sangale to KEM hospital, Parel, where he was declared dead before arrival. Sangale is survived by his wife and two daughters. His wife works as a domestic help. Residents have decided to approach the BMC and ask them to give his wife a job rather than mere compensation.
