Students of Jai Hind college are disrupted as they are yet to receive the final dates of their semester examinations. According to them, this situation is affecting the exam preparation, Diwali vacation trips and internship plans. Meanwhile, college liable to Maharashtra polls for the undecided dates but assures to release it soon.

"This is not the first time. In my first year, our college was under the University of Mumbai (MU) so we couldn't say much. But the same happened in my second year (it was autonomous by then) and this continues till date. There are just speculations going around that exams will commence after October 1 or in the first week of October, however today (Wednesday) our teacher told us after September 25, exams will be conducted at any time. Is providing an exact date so much to ask," a 20-year-old student in the third year B.Com told DNA.

The Principal of the college, Dr Ashok Wadia while clarifying assured that he will instruct every teacher/coordinator to communicate with the students immediately. "Instead of issuing date of exam and then keep changing constantly due to elections or some other problem and causing more confusion among students, they will finalise the date as per the academic calendar," he said. He further mentioned that students should be coordinating with him if they have any trouble regarding any matter. "My door is always open for the students. If they have any issue or confusion, they can come directly to me and get it clarified. This way, the less trouble remains," Wadia added.
