While a state Congress delegation will meet CM Prithviraj Chavan on Monday to demand reduction in taxes to bring the prices down, Chavan has assured that the government was considering the proposal. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's criticism to the Centre’s decision to hike oil prices have not gone well with the Congress. “The NCP should shoulder the responsibility of a decision taken by the Centre instead of criticising it," said senior Congress leader Vilasrao Deshmukh.
