Maharashtra has created its own image in the country as a progressive state in field of economics, industrial, social, political and arts and culture, Nagpur district guardian minister, Shivajirao Moghe said today.Speaking as chief guest during golden jubilee celebration, Moghe said during last 50 years, Maharashtra has made rapid progress in many fields.The Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) introduced by the State has been followed by the Centre, he pointed out.Moghe said state government has extended helping hand to farmers with the Cotton Monopoly Scheme and has committed toprovide 70,000 houses to poor sections of society.Governmentwas depositing Rs 1600 crore every year towards theScholarship amount for students, he said.
