In yet another attempt to improve monitoring the progress and performance of the various departments and flagship schemes like Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan, Crop Waiver Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Maharashtra, the Rs 1.60 lakh crore infrastructure projects in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, etc., the state government will soon make CM Dashboard operational. It is a comprehensive web-based portal created by the state government entity Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation Ltd. (MahaIT).

DNA broke the news of government's move to launch CM Dashboard in November 2018. However, after extensive in housework, the CM Dashboard will go live soon as the government has issued a notification in this regard on July 31. CM Dashboard will also help the government to understand the factors influencing the progress of various schemes and take further decisions to improve their implementation. The date of launch will be decided as per CM's availability. The launch of CM Dashboard coincides with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' month-long Maha Janadesh Yatra which was kicked off on Thursday from Amravati district.

The state government has already enacted Right to Services Act in 2015 to ensure time-bound delivery of services for various public services rendered by the government to citizen and it provides a mechanism for punishing the errant public servant.

State information technology department officer Jyotsna Madekar told DNA,'' The Dashboard portal will enable the smart overview and glimpse of the progress and quick data of all the departments and schemes to the chief minister. The smart overview includes the 360-degree view of the quick and detailed information of all the departments and schemes across the state at multiple levels.'' She explained that the objective is to analyse and enable quick and detailed data of various schemes and departments that help CM, Chief Ministers Office and department officers to take policy decisions and work more efficiently.

She said that CM will decide which departments and schemes to be taken up for review.

Another officer said that all department secretaries have been provided login ID and password and they are expected to regularly upload on CM Dashboard updates of schemes and programmes from the respective departments. The government has appointed one officer each from all departments as a single point of contact (SPOC) to feed the latest information.
