Former minister and Cong leader Satej Patil's aamcha tharlay goes viral too
Some politicians are born orators while some have a repertoire of spelling out witty one-liners and coming out with catchy slogans which go viral in a jiffy. This election season, voters and netas across party lines, were smitten by MNS chief Raj Thackeray's 'lav re to video' (play that video) and former minister-cum -Congress leader Satej Patil's 'amcha tharlay' (we have already decided) jabs.
Thackeray's 10 election rallies and his fiery speeches became a talk of the town during Lok Sabha elections. The videos of his speeches kicked up a political storm with the BJP hitting back with their version of 'Baghach to video' (watch this video).
On March 9, the MNS chief took the video expose route to lash out at PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah. The video of his speech at Rang Sharda auditorium in Bandra went viral. Thackeray held rallies at Panvel, Bhandup and Sewri among other places.
MNS spokesperson Avinash Abhyankar said, "These rallies and video expose will have a nationwide impact. Whether it is Mumbai South or Mumbai South Central or Mumbai North, lav re to video will show its impact on May 23."
Ditto with Patil from Kolhapur. When the NCP announced candidature of Dhananjay Mahadik, it was Patil who gave a loaded reaction, "Aamcha Tharlay (we have already decided).
In a bid to make their presence felt in western Maharashtra, BJP has roped in Dr Sujay Vikhe-Patil, son of Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, leader of Opposition in state assembly and a Congress veteran. The party has managed to get Ranjitsinh Mohite-Patil, a former NCP Rajya Sabha MP. In Kolhapur, Dhairyasheel Mane, son of former NCP Lok Sabha MP Nivedita Mane who was also NCP all India Women's wing president is contesting on a Shiv Sena ticket. It is likely that `Aamcha Tharalay…' slogan is going to spoil prospects of Mahadik who is seeking another term in Lok Sabha.
