Leopard found dead in well in Nashik

A leopard was found dead in a well in Kotbal village in Satana tehsil of Nashik district on Sunday.

When Sanjay Khairnar had gone to his farm in Kotbal, there was a foul smell by the well. When he peeped inside, he saw a dead leopard floating in the water. He immediately informed the police and the forest officials. The forest officials managed to drag the dead leopard out of the well.The post-mortem of the animal was done on the spot and his body consigned to flames in the field it self.

According to the forest officials, the leopard must be running behind a prey in the night when it must have failed to see the well. Or perhaps the leopard must be trusty when it must have fell inside.
