Twenty-two schools in Mumbai have featured among the top 10 in the country in various categories on the annual Education World India School Rankings 2015. The rankings were released in Bangalore on Monday.

Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane and Campion School, Mumbai are ranked India's most admired Day Schools in the rankings. Singhania school has been ranked first in India in the co-ed day schools category as well where Cathedral and John Connon School and Jamna Bai Narsee School featured at fourth and ninth place.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Powai appears at number 2 on the top 10 rankings for government day schools.

In international schools category, seven Mumbai schools find place among top 10 with Dhirubhai Ambani International, Mumbai as the first, Ecole Mondiale World School at second and Oberoi International at fourth place. Among residential schools, Sahyadri School of Pune ranked fourth in India.

The rankings, based on a survey conducted by Centre for Forecasting Ltd. (C fore), has also included special needs schools and budget private schools for the first time. In this, three Mumbai schools are among top 10.
A total of 11,660 parents, teachers, principals and educationists in 27 cities countrywide were interviewed in the survey.

The survey rates and ranks the country's top 1,000 schools in 14 categories including day, day-cum-boarding, boys and girls and legacy boarding and international schools. The top-ranked schools will be felicitated in New Delhi on September 26.
