Journalists in Nashik condemned the killing of Jyotirmoy Dey on Saturday.  Working journalists from both print and electronic media gathered and unanimously condemned the daylight killing of the senior reporter who was well-known for his work.

They took out a silent march from the city to the district collectorate on Monday and presented a memorandum to collector P Vellarasu demanding a fast investigation and arrest of the culprits. They also demanded protection for journalists following frequent attacks on the fraternity.  

The silent march was led by president of Nashik district journalists’ association Yashwant Pawar and president of Camermen of Nashik Newsline Abhay Ozarkar.
