Industry honchos to grace Entrepreneurship Cell summit of IIT-Bombay

The entrepreneurship cell of IIT Bombay is all prepped to hold an annual Entrepreneurship Summit on 19-20 January 2019. The two-day conference is the ultimate meeting between budding startups, students, investors and entrepreneurs. This 14th edition of E-Summit has received patronage from 'Skill India', 'Startup India', 'Make in India' and 'Digital India'. The summit has seen many prominent speakers in the past. In its previous avatars, it had hosted Travis Kalanick, Arundhati Bhattacharya, Shiv Khera and entrepreneurs like Kunal Bahl, Greg Morgan, Sachin Bansal and Bhavish Aggarwal.

Like every year, prominent names will grace the summit with their presence. The E-Summit will be attended by chairman & MD of Raymond Group Gautam Singhania, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu, co-founder and MD of Hiranandani Group Niranjan Hiranandani, founders and CEOs of Chaayos, Keventers, Goli VadaPav, and East India Comedy. 

Adding to the excitement, popular standup comedians Kenny Sebastian and Biswa Kalyan Rath will tickle your ribs in the summit.

This year's theme "Paradigm of Disruption" will take the visitors to witness the evolution in the industries that have changed the lives of the common people.

Another major highlight is 'The Ten minute million Challenge'. Up to 10 shortlisted startups will get a chance to make a 10-minute pitch in front of a panel of 19 of India's best angel investors, which will be followed by an on-the-spot decision on financial backing; the unique feature here is that all 10 startups have a chance to secure a backing of Rs 16 lakh each.

Other crowd-puller events within the ambit of the E-Summit include the Job and Internship Fair which is open to all college students and the Start-up Expo. There's also the finals of Asia's largest Business Model competition. Finalists have been chosen from more than 8,000 entries and will set their sights on prizes worth Rs 50 lakh.

Startup and Business enthusiasts can improve skills in competitions like Crowd Pitch, Board Room, stock market simulation game - Wolf of Wall Street and cash flow management game - Game of Thrones. Eureka! Junior will be the pitching platform for school going students. This aims to promote idea generation at the basic level of school students.
