The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials learnt this a day after his arrest on Monday.

The search at Shankar's Delhi house could not be carried out on Tuesday as his son was not at home and investigators could not enter the home.

"We are searching for more properties of Shankar," said Abhin Modak, DIG of CBI's Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The officials said Shankar has properties in other places, including Lucknow, which he claims belongs to his ancestors.

The initial investigation by the CBI reveals that Shankar, a 1983 batch Indian Revenue Officer, was a known corrupt officer and had been indulging in illegal gratification for a long time.

The officials said a day after Shankar's arrest, one more complainant approached CBI alleging that he had demanded bribe from him.

"We expect more victims to come forward who can give us details about the demands by Shankar," added another officer investigating the case.
