The election season has brought many troubles to the academics than any other sector. The University of Mumbai which has already rescheduled many exams in the past one month due to polls, is scrambling to conduct the exam for the Bachelor of Management Studies, scheduled to begin on April 25. Most of the colleges, which double up as poll booths, would already be under the control of the election commission.More than 12,000 students are set to take the exam across six districts - Mumbai, suburb, Thane, raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri. Deciding on exam centres is not a problem in Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri and Raigad as the places have gone into polls.A Mumbai principal said, "We have explained the issue to the varsity but failed to get a valid reply."Controller of exams Padma Deshmukh, said, "Though we understand the problems of the colleges, there is little we could do now. We have already stretched the exams to a month ahead because of polls and I don't know how to revise the schedule once again."
