Saying that India should warn Pakistan of war in case of provocation, an editorial, on Monday, in the Sena mouthpiece 'Saamna, which has party president Uddhav Thackeray as the editor and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut as the executive editor, charged that "Hindustan's duniyadari for the last two years has proved meaningless."

"This is because after the horrific attacks at Uri, not even one country stood firmly by Hindustan," it added, saying that "BJP-sponsored social media" had deliberately misconstrued the meaning of formal condemnations issued by various countries.

It pointed to conjectures about Russia calling off war games with Pakistan, China's support for Pakistan, and that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) nations had also stood by Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. "Then how did the duniyadari (sojourn) by our rulers in Arab nations in the not-so-recent past help?" questioned the Shiv Sena, which is known for lashing out at its ally BJP, through Saamna.

The editorial also pointed out that the United States of America had also issued a lame condemnation of terrorism, which would hardly serve any purpose.

"Pakistan has called for a war since long. Blood has flown in Pathankot and Uri. The soldiers are sacrificing their lives and our rulers are content with issuing warnings to Pakistan. Actually, we should warn Pakistan now that if they have the itch, we too are ready for war," the Shiv Sena said, adding that the government lacked the resolve to do so.

Meanwhile, a cartoon in Saamna, on Sunday, about the silent morchas drew the ire of Maratha organisations, which protested against it.
