Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh camp in city from Wednesday

The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) camp that is organised once every five years, will be held in the city for the first time from December 29 to January 3. The HSS is associated with the Vishwa Adhyayan Kendra that works for uniting Hindus across the world.

At a press conference at Pune Patrakar Bhavan on Friday, HSS head Badrinath Musthi said, “The HSS works across the globe and meets in India once every five years. So far, meets have been held in Bangalore, Baroda, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Over 600 participants from 40 countries will be participating in the camp, which will be held at Maharashtra Education Society’s Rani Laxmibai Kanya Sainik Shala in Kasaar Amboli. The camp will be inaugurated by the descendants of Mahatma Jotiba Phule and Lahuji Wastad.”

On January 2, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh supremo Mohan Bhagwat will address the camp. Sikhs and Jains have also been invited. Rashtriya Sevaki Samiti will be helping the women participants. The camp will deliberate on the future course of the HSS.
