A leading make-up artist from Bollywood was arrested by the Uttan Coastal police in Bhayander for allegedly luring two models in a sex racket. The make-up artist who was allegedly doubling as a pimp charged Rs 3- 4.5 lakhs from a customer.
According to the police, two young models from Mumbai were lured by the makeup artist to indulge in a sex racket in exchange for money.
"We had received a tip off about the high profile sex racket being operated in our jurisdiction. We immediately laid a trap and nabbed the accused woman and rescued two models from her clutches.", said Atul Kulkarni, Assistant Superintendent of Police in the Bhayander police station.
The accused will be produced in the court on Monday.
"We are probing the role of a film producer into the sex racket and if any evidence is found against the person, the arrest will be made", said another senior police officer.
