My son was a happy-go-lucky person who got along well with other kids... He was generally a smart kid and we never pressured him about anything. His place in our lives is irreplaceable," said Nishant's mother, Madhvi Salvi, trying hard to control her emotions.

She said the boy had not mentioned anything that was worrying him. "He had not discussed or complained about anything at all," said Madhvi. The boy's death, said family members, has come as a shock. Though Nishant was an average student at school, his parents never pressured him to perform better at academics.

Nishant, who had been unwell for nearly four days, had begun to feel a little better on Tuesday,

said his relatives. "Nishant told me that he was feeling better and wanted to go down for some time. But he did not appear stressed out or upset," said Madhavi. "What happened after that is a mystery," she said.

Nishant, who had a huge collection of different types of action games, rarely went to other children's homes.

"In fact, all his friends used to play at our house," said the mother of the 12-year-old.Madhavi said she had not yet spoken to any of Nishant's friends.

That Nishant loved life and was a cheerful boy can be seen from his Facebook profile. It has his pictures during a family trip to Switzerland in which Nishant is seen frolicking in the snow.

Nishanta's father, Sameer who was in Pune the day his son fell to his death, has told the police that they are clueless about the incident.
