The Aurangabad bench of the Mumbai HC, while hearing the writ petition filed by RTI activist Sanjay Kale on April 4, 2012, levelling charges of corruption against the former Trust of the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, has issued notices to all 16 trustees to file their say in 21 days.

In his writ, Kale has accused the previous Trust of misappropriation and diversion of funds, misuse of authority and loss to the Trust in a PIL filed against the chairman, vice chairman and the trustees of the Trust board that functioned from 2004 to March 2012.

The bench comprised Justice Bhushan Gavali and Justice Sunil Deshmukh. Kale said to DNA, “I submitted the information before the bench, who issued notices.”

Accused trustees include former MLA and Chairman Jayant Sasane as president, former minister and vice chairman Shankarrao Kolhe, Agriculture minister Radha Krishna Vikhe-Patil, Pandurang Abhang, Suresh Wabale, Urmila Jadhav Shailesh Kute and K C Pande, Sami Khatib, Rimple Lohiya, R J Karnik, Capt Suresh Vasudeva, cardiologist Dr Pyarelal Tiwari, Alka Shejwal, Ashok Khambekar and Dr Eknath Gondkar.
