The `pen down' agitation by more than 100 employees of government's district information and divisional information offices in Nashik revenue division entered the fourth day today.

Class three and four employees launched the agitation on November 11 protesting alleged harassment by deputy director (Information), Shivaji Mankar.

The employees said Mankar misused his office for personal works, arbitrarily transferred driver-level employees and allegedly preparing false reports of the staffers.

The revenue division comprises five districts of Nashik, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar.

In a statement here, Raju Chougule, a union leader, alleged Mankar had asked Class four employees to work in his hotel and residence.

He also used his government vehicle for personal works and deliberately transferred many senior staff to places like Pune, Ahmednager and even Goa, the statement said.
