MUMBAI: Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, who was injured in a road accident, would undergo a surgery later on Sunday in a hospital here.

The former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister sustained a fracture on his shoulder when the car in which he was travelling dashed against a tree while trying to save a 12-year-old boy who came on the way near Parli, around 600 km from here, on Saturday.

A group of doctors, including renowned cardiologist B K Goel, are attending on the BJP leader, who was admitted to Bombay Hospital at around 10:30 pm.
