Four arrested in Pune for obscene MMS clips

The Nigdi police on Wednesday arrested three youths from Somatane Phata area for allegedly forcing a couple to have sex in front of them, filming it and then circulating the video clips.

The suspects have been identified as Navnath Pandurang Tele (25), Ramdas Tukaram Watane (28), both residents of Maval taluka and Mohan Kisan Kadam (26) of Lonavla. A fourth suspect,
Dipak Vikas Kanse of Bhor Taluka, is absconding.

According to the police, the gang kept a watch on couples visiting the Somatane Phata area and followed them to an isolated spot.

Then they forced the couples to have sex after threatening them and filmed their acts and circulated the video clips.

Acting on a tip-off, a team, led by senior police inspector Nandkumar Bhosale-Patil, laid a trap in Somatane Phata area on Wednesday and arrested the suspects.

Meanwhile, the Hinjewadi police also arrested one Shailesh Madgule in a similar case. The police said Madgule and two others used to keep a watch on couples visiting Bapuji Buva Hills in Hinjewadi. Their modus operandi was similar.

Bodies of 2 girls recovered
The Hadapsar police on Wednesday recovered the bodies of the two teenage girls, who went missing from Hadapsar on Monday, from the Mutha right bank canal. The girls were Komal Suresh Pawar (17) and Priyanka Kailash Ovhal (17) of Mhada Colony.

The post-mortem report revealed the girls died due to drowning.

CBI nabs railway engineer for graft
The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Pune arrested a Karad-based sectional engineer of the Central Railway, Ramesh Prasad (38), for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs5,000 from a complainant.

The CBI claimed to have caught him red-handed. Prasad had allegedly demanded the amount from the complainant to allow him to lay a pipeline for  agriculture purposes at Karad. He was produced before a court in Satara.
