Siddhant was arrested by the Vakola police on May 25 from Jodhpur for allegedly murdering his mother on May 23. The incident had come to light after Siddhant's father, Dnyaneshwar Ganore, a Police Inspector, found his wife's body in a pool of blood at their residence in AG Park of Vakola at Santacruz.

During investigations, the Vakola police submitted the samples collected along with the murder weapon for analysis at Kalina Forensic Laboratory. "We have been informed that the blood on the clothes of Siddhant matched with that of Deepali's," said an officer from Vakola police station.

"Also, the blood found on the murder weapon matched with Deepali's blood. The reports of nail verification is in the process and is being analysed by the forensic laboratory," said a senior police officer from Vakola division.

Dr KV Kulkarni, Director, Kalina Forensic Laboratory, said, "We will be submitting the reports to the police soon."
