According to officials, when people entered the Sound Idea studio at Shah Industrial estate, they noticed the fire on the first floor. Four fire engines and three water tankers were rushed to the spot.

Even though officials said it was a minor fire, it took the fire brigade nearly five hours to bring the situation under control. While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, fire officials said it aggravated due to the presence of wires and electronic goods in the studio.

Another minor fire was reported on Saturday evening at Naman Towers, a commercial highrise in Parel. The fire reportedly broke out in the meter box of the building, but was doused in an hour.
