MUMBAI
dna delves into the unknown with Psychic Healer Nita Chhotalal.
Once a Maths and Science teacher, Nita Chhotalal’s intuitive experiences as a child led her onto a path of tarot card readings, crystal and past life therapy, numerology, graphology, and even acrophonology (a first of its kind).
She firmly believes in the power of thought, “You are the creator of your own thoughts, chanting positive mantras and affirmations of peace will gradually change a negative mindset into an optimistic one,” smiles Chottalal, as she calmly enumerates the importance of meditation, affirmation, positive thinking, and karmic connections as integral elements in our lives.
Tarot Card Reading
In a sea of tarot card readers, it is hard to identify an individual who is truly talented. On being questioned about this controversial ‘money-making business’, Chhotalal admits to knowing people, who practice this professionally in spite of having no knowledge of the subject.
“Tarot can only be done with divine grace. We are going through our past karmas in this lifetime, so why not take a bank balance of good deeds, instead of money, before we go up?” says Chottalal, as she spreads out the 78 tarot cards before her.
PR professional Varisha Maniar’s experience with Chottalal left her gaping at the accuracy of the reading. “It is amazing. I bumped into her quite by chance at Olive and happened to be facing an obstacle in my life. I was on the verge of giving up, but I left with a bright and positive outlook,” says a relieved and happy Maniar.
Past Life & Crystal Therapy
Past life readings enable an individual to examine his/her past life and by comparing it with the present life scenario, the person gains a better understanding of his/her traits and also learns whether he/she will be reborn or not! “There was an 85-year-old uncle, who came to me.
I found that he would return only to be reunited with a grandchild he is close to. There should be a certain element of detachment, even in attachment,” says Chhotalal, echoing words of wisdom, often seen in the works of Swami Vivekananda. Crystal therapy, involves intensive healing, aligning, and cleansing the seven major chakras.
“Once I find an imbalance, focus is implied on cleansing any negativity. For instance, balancing the crown chakra (third eye) will lead to more clarity and higher intuition,” she says, as she shows me a variety of crystals, from the likes of a fiery tiger eye to a star tetrahedral shaped, rose quartz, each associated with powerful energies.
Numerology, Graphology & Acrophonology
Numerology enables an individual to comprehend their inner being through birth dates. For instance, people born on the 1st of a month are indicative of being go-getters, while individuals born on the 7th of a month or whose numbers add up to 7 are likely to be psychic, spiritually inclined, or intuitive. “Graphology, on the other hand, is the mirror of your personality, your subconscious mind gets reflected in your personality,” says Chottalal, before she elaborates upon a fairly new subject, Acrophonology.
“This is based on the principle, that each letter has a vibration, connected to a heavenly constellation, ‘a’ corresponds to Aries, ‘b’ corresponds to Taurus and so on,” she says, smiling warmly as she explains how couples in a relationship might be compatible, largely on the basis of a vowel being present in the partner’s name! Sounds like hogwash to you? Vivek Singh, Joint Managing Director of Procam International, tells us how changing his signature prevented him from experiencing a serious leg problem.
“In spite of Nita having no prior knowledge of my leg problem, once I changed my signature, I was perfectly fine. People need to be more open-minded, we know very little of what is out there,” says Singh.
