Eight suspected bookies were arrested from suburban Andheri here for allegedly accepting bets on the on-going Champions League T20 cricket tournament, police said today.Acting on a tip off, a rented flat of Prerna Cooperative Housing Society, Lokhandwala Complex, was raided last night and the accused were found accepting bets on the T20 matches, Deputy Police Commissioner(Enforcement) BG Shekar said, adding that they were subsequently arrested."Bets of Rs68,000 had already been accepted by the accused. Instruments such as mobile phones, laptops and LCDs collectively worth Rs6.46 lakh were seized from them. One more known bookie is wanted in the case," another official said.
