"Trains are being diverted between Vikhroli-Diva and Mulund-Diva as slow lines are affected. But slow trains are being diverted on fast corridor," said a railway official.

Railway authorities are still working to fix the problem. But the first three platforms at Thane station are out of operations.

To tackle the situation, railway authorities have announced special trains between Kurla and CST.

Suburban train services will be restored to normalcy without any delays only by afternoon.
