The initiative is partnered by one of India’s leading publishing houses, Hachette India. Through this initiative, dna presented aspiring authors with the unique opportunity to exhibit their creativity and knack for storytelling.

Entries were open to all and fictional stories across genres were accepted up to December 15, 2013, and we received a splendid response, with over 300 niche and innovative entries.

“We at Hachette India are very excited by the overwhelming response to the dna bestseller contest; nearly 300 entries across genres of fiction writing, and some really impressive writing,” said the editorial team at Hachette India.

Now, dna and Hachette have shortlisted 20 writers for their remarkable entries.  The entries will be scrutinised by a power-packed jury including Krishna Udayasankar, Swati Kaushal and Tuhin Sinha from Hachette.

What’s more? The winning entries will be published and distributed by Hachette India and dna will track the entire the book up to its launch in mid-2014.
