Maharashtra's CM Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday awarded by software giant Oracle corporation for his leadership and vision towards digital transformation of the state.

The award of Leadership in 'Technology Transformation' was presented by Oracle's CEO Safra Catz in New Delhi.

Fadnavis government's IT initiatives such as Right to Services Act for time bound delivery of services, Aaple Sarkar, Smart cities, connecting 14,000 grampanchayats with broadband, digital schools, CCTV project, MahaDBT and MahaNet are supposed to have win him this honour.

Speaking on this occasion, CM said, “We will connect all grampanchayats with optic fibre soon. We are also working to make every school and tahsil digital.”

Fadnavis also reiterated his commitment to provide transparent administration using information technology as a tool. “We wish to improve service delivery with greater use of IT heading towards system where citizens get services on one click,” said CM at the award ceremony.
