About 700 tribals from Nashik took out a rally under the leadership of Shivaji Dhawale, founder president of Eklavya Sanghatana and staged a protest on Monday.

Submitting a memorandum, the tribals agitating on the issue of fake identity of non-tribals as tribals, demanded that the government must check all those who have obtained a caste certificate as tribals.

Such persons who are in government jobs should be suspended and those truly eligible must be given the posts. The government should form a committee with a retired justice as its head and find out such fake tribals, the group demanded.
