In one of the emails sent after the blast, terrorists warned of carrying out another terror attack in the country at a shopping centre or a mall.

Mumbai has always been the top target of terrorists, the latest being the July 13 triple blasts.

Areas such as Govandi, Shivaji Nagar, Deonar, Cheetah Camp and Mankhurd are being scanned for the past two days and heavy police movement has been deployed in dense slum pockets in these places.

Around 60 to 70 policemen, headed by a senior police inspector and an assistant commissioner of police, have been carrying out combing operation and scanning each and every house of the locality.

"The combing operations are being done in these localities for a long time. The new thing is that we have started it again in a systematic," said additional commissioner of police (East Region) Quaiser Khalid.

"It was going on for the past few months but after the Delhi blast, it has been intensified in these areas as a large number of anti-social elements reside in these localities."

In the operation, record sheet criminals are checked, patrolling on vehicles as well as foot patrol is done.
