Daughter of a deceased former Shiv Sena corporator, Ashok Sawant has written a complaint to the joint commissioner of police (Law and Order), Deven Bharti claiming that her family has received threat from her father’s murderer.

In a letter addressed to Bharti, Prajakta Sawant, said, “My father was a chairman of a co-operative housing society in suburban Kandivali. He had ventured into cable television business some time back and had secured right to provide service in the building being constructed in the colony.”

“Recently, after learning that we will continue the cable business in the area, an associate of another cable operator claimed that my family didn’t learn lessons from my father’s death. He also hinted that the family will face fatal consequences if they don’t give up the cable television rights in the area,” the letter stated.

She further said, “This incident has raised alarm in my mind that the person who plotted the murder of my father, will further take dangerous steps against me and my family to grab the cable business.”
