The first edition of Marathi newspaper from country’s biggest newspaper group, Dainik Bhaskar, will be launched from Aurangabad on May 28. It is group’s 60th edition in a fourth language, after Hindi, English and Gujarati.

Union home minister P Chidambaram will be the chief guest at the inaugural function in Aurangabad at 10am. The function will be presided over by Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan. Leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley; Union minister for rural development and panchayati raj, Vilasrao Deshmukh; Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan; Maharashtra finance minister, Balasaheb Thorat; Maharashtra tourism minister, Chhagan Bhujbal; and former Lok Sabha speaker and MP, Manohar Joshi, will also attend the function.

Besides the Hindi daily, Dainik Bhaskar, the Group also publishes the Gujarati Divya Bhaskar, the English daily, DNA, and business daily Business Bhaskar. The Group runs FM radio stations in 17 cities across seven states.
