Critically-hurt Pune techie is conscious

The 27-year-old IT professional, Mandira Debnaya, who was critically injured after falling from a fifth floor balcony in a residential complex in Kharadi while trying to climb down with the help of a bedsheet, is in a semi-conscious state now.

"She slipped into coma on Tuesday, but opened her eyes on Wednesday. She is unable to recognise her family and relatives, who have come all the way from the US," said Dr Sachin Gandhi, consultant neurosurgeon of Ruby Hall Clinic.

The girl's brother has flown down from the US, Her parents have also come down.
