Sanjay Saini, an employee of a courier company, had lodged a complaint with the police, claiming that three men allegedly barged into the autorickshaw in which he was travelling with the parcel containing gold. The accused threatened him at gunpoint before fleeing on a motorbike. The incident happened when the complainant was on his way to his office after picking up the parcel.

“Though Sanjay was a suspect himself, we did not find anything against him,” said a police officer involved with the investigation of the case.

The police have also not found any evidence about the involvement of the autorickshaw driver. The driver, in his statement to the police, said that he left the spot after the accused threatened him with arms.
